- Vacuum thoroughly avoiding debris that will clog vacuum
- Spray entire carpeted area
- Leave on pre-spray and begin next step where the pre-spray was started
- On the slowest buffer speed agitate entire carpeted area
- Fill carpet extractor with warm to hot water
- Go over carpet slowly with extractor
- Vacuum once carpet is dry to remove any remaining debris
